Description
The Avant Timber Grab HD heavy-duty timber grab is equipped with a stronger boom, hydraulic rotator, and larger grapple. It is intended especially for the Avant 700 and 800 series.
The arborist kit, which mounts on the boom, is also a standard feature.
When cutting a tree, you can push it down with it if necessary instead of pushing by hand. The kit also has a bracket that can be attached to a rope, which enables towing the logs by pulling them with the loader.

The optional Opticontrol is recommended with a grab with a hydraulic rotator for operating the grab opening/closing and rotation (requires a 6 or 8-function joystick on the loader).
There are also two timber grab models that mount directly on the attachment coupling plate of the loader: one with a hydraulic rotator and one without a rotator. They are equipped with the same grapple as the A438973 HD grab.
